It was created by Charles Nicol and Phil Lane in order to move away from the commoditised, robotic approach adopted by many larger and traditional recruitment offerings in order to provide more bespoke solutions, focussed on a consultative approach, expert knowledge and exceptional service levels.

This has enabled us to give comprehensive advice on all aspects of recruitment so that our clients are able to make informed and most importantly, better decisions.

Since our inception we have developed a strong client base that boasts numerous national & international recognisable brands, as well as some less well known, yet rapidly growing businesses.
We work with global blue-chip organisations, SMEs and Private Equity backed businesses predominantly throughout London and the South East, although sometimes much further beyond!

We are accountancy & finance specialists.

We recruit into two main finance areas – qualified and part-qualified level accountants, whilst also managing recruitment for transformation and change projects, as well as more analytical based roles, incorporating both data analyst and data science disciplines.

Understanding technically what our candidates do and what clients are looking for is imperative, but that is only a proportion of what we do. We look at other key attributes such as personality, drive, motivation and communication skills that are far harder if not impossible to ascertain from a CV, but still so important when recruiting that key hire. We look beyond a job specification and drill down past generic wording to unearth the fundamentals of what our clients are looking for.

We spend time getting to know people in order to be in the best position to add value to them moving forward. We are honest, consultative and will tell you what we think. We are experts in what we do and we do have opinion!

Senior / Qualified

We recruit mid to senior tier appointments throughout reporting, controllership, technical accounting & commercial, business partnering and FP&A. Focussed transformation, project and system opportunities are also traditional recruitment areas for us too!

Typical role titles will include, CFO, Finance Director, Head of Finance, Financial Controller, Head of FP&A, Head of Commercial Finance and Finance Manager as well as Systems Accountant or Project Manager.
